imagine program

Having just watched Imagine- books the last chapter, I felt I should write something today.

On one hand, I love e books, any tool which appeals to people to improve literacy skills of the population is worth embracing. However as I am the librarian at an art college I'm not sure how this would work here- on a practical level. Some books because of the scale of the images and the detail would loose so much being made in to a small screen.

I can see the advantage of fiction going to Ebooks, but for a generation , of which I am still part of, I love to hold a book.

So, I'm on the fence, I love books and Ebooks.

thing 13 and thing 14

Must get back in the habit of writing here.

Thing 13- I've started using drop box, due to a project I've been working on for a while, it's been pretty useful to shuffle documents to and from each other.

As for Wiki's (apart from Wikipedia) I came across them a few years ago, due to the MIS department in college, they seem to have an addition for them- plus they seem to be able to make the useful and workable.

Moving on to thing 14-
Referencing is one thing I am quiet keen on, mainly as I've struggled with it for years, had to teach students it and created  a document to help students.
I'm always in two minds about referencing software- part of me (the slightly mean bit of me) things, I suffered, so should they. But on the other hand, I think life is too short to get hung up on , and ('s.

Having looked in toZotero I was totally amazed, I think this might be a possible thing to adopt for the college. Spent a fair amount of time watching the promotional video.
